Montreal Marriott Château Champlain, a complete transformation

An iconic hotel built in 1967 for Expo 67, the Marriott Château Champlain has undergone a facelift thanks to an investment of more than $60 million from the Tidan Group. Ideally located in the heart of downtown Montreal, the establishment was purchased in 2018 by the company with the aim of restoring it to its former glory and meeting the expectations of today's travellers.

Entrusted to Sid Lee Architecture, the hotel's new design is inspired by the beauty of Montreal winters. Architect Martin Leblanc imagined the winter garden theme with a pale and bright color palette to recreate a soothing Scandinavian spirit. The new hotel is thus like an inviting and warm refuge in the heart of the city.

BEDROOMS

Spacious and bright, the rooms have been designed in three distinct areas: a work area equipped with a large table, a sleeping area and a relaxation area furnished with a meridian. All are equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, a mini fridge and a relaxing spa shower.

M Club Concierge Rooms provide access to the M Club, a popular perk with Marriott guests. The club offers an exclusive private lounge with breakfast in the morning, snacks in the afternoon, hors d'oeuvres in the evening and concierge service during the day. Two 2 square foot Presidential Suites located on the 000th floor, the top floor of the building, offer unparalleled comfort and breathtaking city views.

Visitors can also enjoy the largest hotel fitness center in Montreal as well as the excellent restaurant Lloyd (see our article on this subject).

A FAVORITE PLACE FOR BUSINESS MEETINGS AND PRIVATE EVENTS

With 24 meeting rooms that can accommodate between 10 and 1 people, the hotel can now accommodate corporate groups with the latest technology. As for the chic and luxurious ballroom, it is the perfect place for a grand wedding. Finally, the Caf'Conc theater has also been renovated to offer large-scale shows and events.

In short, the new Château Champlain has something to impress with its recent elegant and current visual identity.
